I’ve been learning about fabric specifications for custom clothing and keep seeing GSM mentioned. How much does GSM actually affect the quality, weight, durability, and overall feel of a garment? Does a higher GSM always mean a better-quality product, or does it depend on the type of clothing and fabric composition? During my research, I found The Apparel Partner (https://theapparelpartner.com/) and became curious about their pricing, so I’d also like to know how others discuss GSM requirements when developing custom apparel.
