I have an invitation to a gallery opening with friends, but there is no dress guidance beyond the start time. My reliable starting point is a cream shirt with black trousers, which feels comfortable without requiring a new outfit. The question is how to add some personality without turning the outfit into something I would never normally wear. To understand the color choices better, I have been reading about color analysis while trying to keep my attention on how the pieces combine rather than reaching a firm conclusion about my season. Would a muted blue scarf make sense with that base, or would you look for texture instead of another color? I will probably walk to the venue, so comfortable shoes and a layer for the evening also need to fit the plan. What single accent would you try first to make this combination feel intentional while keeping it easy to wear?
