Majesty palms are grown in direct sunlight. Have them close to a window where they can get filtered sunlight a few hours a day. They are able to withstand certain types of direct morning sunlight although excessive amounts of harsh sunlight may scald the leaves. When it is low-light, the plant will grow slower and will not be as vivid. Turning the plant is also required to provide even light exposure and even growth on all sides of the plant.
